Cosmetology & Barber Programs Starting 2027-2028
Cosmetology Program
The Cosmetology program will be a three-year program starting in 10th Grade. In a state-of-the-art salon setting, the Cosmetology program is being designed to provide competency-based knowledge, theory and hands-on services such as haircutting, hairstyling, coloring, chemical texture service, and manicuring, pedicuring and skin care. Students will prepare for licensure in New York State and a career in the Appearance Enhancement field.
Barber Program
The Barber program will be a two-year program starting in 11th Grade. In a state-of-the-art salon setting, the Barber program is being designed to provide competency-based knowledge, theory and hands-on fundamentals associated with the barber industry. Course work will include instruction in all phases of professional barbering: history, sanitation and safety, hair design, related sciences, and business principles. Students will prepare for licensure in New York State and a career in the Appearance Enhancement field.
