Our Nurse Assisting program combines classroom theory, simulated labs and real-world supervised clinical experience in healthcare facilities.
Nurse Assisting Program
This is a two year program for our 11th and 12th graders. Students are well on their way to working as a supportive caregiver in a healthcare setting or pursuing further education in nursing or other health-related careers. Students will gain substantial experience that produce professional young adult healthcare providers who are challenged to conduct themselves with professionalism, integrity and empathy at all times. Students will learn specialized skills needed to meet patient’s needs for personal care, comfort and safety.
Successful completion of the program leads to being a Certified NYS Nurse Assistant. Our Nurse Assisting program provides students with college credit connections and industry-recognized certifications like CNA, First Aid and CPR/AED helping them transition smoothly into the healthcare field.
